Writers tend to be opinionated people. Being a writer, I’ve got lots to say … when I feel like it. Often, I just let my characters speak for me in their stories, like a ventriloquist speaks through his or her puppet.

The Dragon and the Stars—Aurora Award Winner

The Dragon and the Stars has won Canada’s 2011 Prix Aurora Award in the category of Best English Related Work. Here’s a picture of the editors, Derwin Mak and Eric Choi, accepting the award. The anthology features sci-fi and fantasy stories written by ethnic Chinese authors living in various countries, and includes an introduction by bestselling novelist, Tess Gerritsen.
